Summer of Success Founders

Eddy Martinez

Creator, Founder and Program Organizer

Eddy Martinez, spurred by his son Maxwell's journey with Autism, spearheaded the creation of the Summer of Success initiative. Recognizing the lack of support programs for adults with Autism transitioning into the workforce, he joined forces with Dr. Gigi and her "Raise Me Foundation" to launch Summer of Success.

This groundbreaking program aimed to bridge the gap between adults with Autism and employment opportunities, while dispelling misconceptions about Autism among employers. Through immersive experiences and practical training, participants like Maxwell acquired essential job skills and explored diverse career paths.

Summer of Success stands as a symbol of empowerment, providing individuals with Autism the tools and opportunities they need to excel in the workforce and beyond.

Dr. Gigi and Coach Luis

Founders and Program Directors

In 2009, Dr. Gigi and coach Luis opened Schoolhouse Preparatory. This is the first High School in Dade County designed for students with learning differences seeking a standard diploma. The high school has successfully transitioned their graduates to colleges across the nation with full scholarships and prepared them for life after high school.

Dr. Gigi and Coach Luis both experienced first-hand the challenges that students with special needs face as they transition into adulthood, as well as the limited options that their parents have.

Following their passion for making the difference in the lives of children, they fulfilled their dream of establishing a high school that meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of young adults, as well as the support for their families.
